The
news is wild and riveting
Rumors,
lies and fear
Blows faster than the cyclone
That
accompanies the Indian monsoon
Children drink this toxic rain
Fed
families, communities, and lives
It
quietens conscience and rattles reason
From
window to window it flew
From
ear to ears it resurfaces
The
silence is deafening
But the truth will sprout
When tender rain skips across
A seed that is rooted with hope and life
This
adoration for falsehood is a disease
Curable
But
its sting troubled the soul
