Revisiting the Ruins of Nungtek (Proper)

The following images recapture the memories of Nungtek, an Inpui Naga village that emerged from Haochong village. It is located on the old route to Noney, which is 3 to 4 kilometers southward from Haochong. I have failed to indicate or caption any of the images here.

I have to credit all my articles related to Inpui Naga to my parents, especially to my mother who with her vast knowledge on Inpui culture evoke in me a sense of urgency to record, document, preserve and educate the mass on Inpui history and culture. It is through her that such humble initiatives are being taken up. I would also like to acknowledge her close friends and relatives who took active participation in all these endeavors. I will remain grateful to them for all the necessary inputs on Inpui history and also for appearing in my videos at Antrimwanbut Khwan without any hesitation, with a very firm conviction that their contribution such as this will help preserve and sustain our rich cultural heritage and as a gift with love for posterity.

The images below were taken from the site where new Christian converts lived. It is a testament to how the early converts were ostracized. And most importantly the strict social norms and values that bound the society.
